Exiting the greyness of Paris in Autumn to find Algiers the White’s brightness and my relatives.
Algiers is always surprising wit its crowd, the noise, traffic jams and car horns… but it can be also be amazing in a different way… There’s a peaceful haven not to be missed located on the heights of the city where I like recharging my batteries.
Saint George hotel is part of Algiers’s cultural heritage and is one of the oldest and most famous palaces of Arab-ottoman origins. Several dignitaries such as Dey Hussein or Mustapha Bacha were enjoying the place and the palace hosted famous guests afterwards : Sir Winston Churchill, the Baron de Rothschild,… In 1982, it was renamed El-Djazair and completely renovated by the architect Fernand Pouillon and the ceramist Mohamed Boumehdi.
The botanical garden within the hotel is one of the nicest Park in Algiers and a perfect location to enjoy warm weather at the tail end of November.
It was worth wearing a fresh look in such a garden ! Karen Millen’s skirt was giving a feeling of lightness and well-being and was adapted to any movement of the body. Perfect ! I really wanted to share with you this amazing place that is so dear to me.
